“I have had the opportunity to work with Focus Interpreting over the past two years through a variety of language and transportation needs. Due to their competitive pricing and their professional and ethical caliber, Focus Interpreting is truly an agency that Accelerated Claims Services, Inc. will continue working with.”
Our company
Owned and managed by interpreters
Focus Interpreting, Inc. is a full-service language agency run by working interpreters with extensive experience. Since 2010 we have connected clients across California and the nation with certified, professional, and experienced interpreters and translators in more than 120 languages.
Our mission
Precise, on-demand communication you can trust
“We have built a company that stands above its competitors by connecting our customers with the most knowledgeable interpreters and translators. Together we deliver precise, on-demand communication that is trustworthy and cost-effective, bridging gaps and strengthening our communities.”
Interpreting is a complex process. It calls for training in linguistics, strong cognitive and technical skills, and the judgment to handle sensitive conversations with care. That is why Focus Interpreting works only with certified, professional, and experienced interpreters.
Established as a full-service interpreting and translation agency, we provide some of the most qualified interpreters available, and we pair them with responsive coordination so your assignment runs smoothly from the first call to the final invoice.

Our story
Built by interpreters, for the people who rely on them
Focus Interpreting was founded in 2010 by interpreters who had spent years in the field and knew what clients and limited-English-proficient speakers actually need: a qualified linguist who shows up early, stays impartial, and gets the terminology right. We started by providing medical and legal state-certified interpreters on site, along with document translation, so providers, attorneys, and claims professionals could communicate clearly with non-English speakers during any consultation.
That early focus on medical and legal work, and on the workers' compensation industry in particular, still shapes how we operate. Every interpreter we place is U.S.-based, HIPAA-trained, and held to the same standards our founders held themselves to.

From two California offices to 120+ languages
Headquartered in Victorville, California, with a second office in Alhambra, we have grown a network of professional relationships that lets us cover more than 120 languages. Our teams serve Los Angeles, Orange County, San Bernardino, Riverside, Sacramento, San Diego, and San Francisco, and we support clients nationwide with remote services available worldwide.
As demand for faster access grew, so did our services. Today we offer 24/7 phone and video interpreting, emergency and rush dispatch, conference interpreting with equipment and staff, and our patented Focus VRI mobile app, which connects you with an interpreter on any smartphone or tablet.
Alongside interpreting, we deliver document, website, software, and video translation, transcription in five specialties, and accessibility work such as ADA remediation and multilingual desktop publishing. It is everything a language project needs, under one roof.

Certified, accountable, and ready for public-sector work

Our values
The standards behind every assignment
Six commitments that shape how we recruit, brief, and support every linguist in our network.
Accuracy
Every word matters in a deposition, a diagnosis, or a safety briefing. Our linguists are trained to render meaning faithfully and to ask for clarification rather than guess.
Confidentiality
Everything we interpret or translate for you is held in the strictest confidence, in line with HIPAA training and the ATA Code of Ethics and Professional Practice.
Impartiality
Our interpreters act as professional, neutral third parties. They facilitate communication without adding, omitting, or editorializing.
Cultural sensitivity
Language carries culture. Our interpreters are immersed in the communities they serve, so nuance and tone come through along with the words.
Reliability
Interpreters arrive 15 minutes early, rush requests are taken seriously, and phone and video interpreting is available around the clock.
Service
A dedicated coordinator handles your booking, answers questions, and follows up after the assignment. Competitive rates come standard.
