Localization that keeps pace with releases

Focus Interpreting helps technology companies launch products, documentation, and support in the languages their users speak, with technical translators who understand code, context, and deadlines.

The challenge

Global users expect a native experience

A product can be technically excellent and still fail in a new market because a button label is ambiguous, a date format is wrong, or the help article reads like a machine wrote it. Users judge quality by the words on the screen.

Engineering teams also need localization to fit their process: resource files in the right format, placeholders and variables left intact, strings that fit the layout, and translations delivered in time for the sprint.

  • UI strings with length limits, plurals, and variables
  • Developer docs, API references, and release notes that change constantly
  • Knowledge bases and support macros in every supported language
  • Marketing sites and app store listings that must convert
  • Interpreters for customer calls, demos, and distributed teams

How we help

Technical translators, structured workflows

Our software translators work directly in common resource formats such as JSON, XLIFF, .strings, .resx, and .po, preserving placeholders, markup, and encoding. We build a glossary and style guide with your team at the start so terminology stays consistent across the UI, documentation, and support content.

Translation memory keeps recurring strings consistent and reduces the cost of each release, and a second linguist reviews every deliverable. For continuous localization we can work from exports on a regular cadence, so translated strings arrive alongside your builds.

When your team needs to talk, not just read, our interpreters support sales demos, customer onboarding, user research sessions, and internal meetings by phone, video, or in person.

Standards

Internationalization, accessibility, and confidentiality

Good localization starts with internationalization. We flag hard-coded strings, concatenated sentences, and layout assumptions during translation so your engineers can fix them once. Locale-specific formats for dates, numbers, and currencies follow the conventions of each target market.

If you sell to public agencies or regulated buyers, your product and documentation may need to meet accessibility requirements such as Section 508 and WCAG. We translate accessibility content, including alt text and screen-reader labels, and our ADA remediation team can make translated PDFs accessible.

Pre-release software is confidential. Our translators sign NDAs, files are exchanged through secure channels, and we adhere to the ATA Code of Ethics.

  • Placeholder, variable, and markup integrity checks on every file
  • Glossary, style guide, and translation memory maintained per product
  • Locale formatting for dates, numbers, currencies, and units
  • NDAs and secure file handling for unreleased features
